Good Evening all. Well time for another pic. This time, it's the famous Place du Capitole in the heart of Toulouse city. The facade was built from 1750 to 1760, however there were some renovations in the 1800's. The first day we were there, stalls were set up in the square for market day. Cafes and shops surround the square. I would often lose my way wandering round the side streets and could never find my way without the Toulouse street map- Sarah however, did have a better sense of direction. The narrow side streets are full of shops from stationery to trendy clothes. The bigger stores include Virgin Megastore for CDs,DVDs, stationery and computer stuff, Lafayette-abit like David Jones in Australia, Monoprix-a food supermarket as well as a clothing and accessories store all in one (why not!), Darty-another computer store where we bought Sarah's webcam and FNAC stores for stationery and cute fountain pens. There is also a special store selling Toulouse Rugby team souvenirs and clothing-very pricey!
